Since its inauguration in 2007, the Pune Regional Office has represented ICCR in western India by promoting India's cultural diplomacy through educational, artistic, and international exchange programmes.

The office manages the welfare of international students studying under ICCR scholarship programmes while fostering educational collaboration with universities and academic institutions across Maharashtra.

The Regional Office coordinates cultural performances by visiting foreign delegations, outgoing Indian cultural groups, distinguished visitors, exhibitions, seminars, and collaborates closely with the Government of Maharashtra and local cultural organizations.
