ICCR has been doing exchanges with other countries of the world in the field of visual art under its mandate of promoting India’s cultural relations with other countries through various instrumentalities involving people-to-people contact.

ICCR owns a rich collection of exhibitions on various themes and styles – paintings, photographs, textiles, etc. which are sent for display abroad in various museums and art galleries through its global network of Indian Missions and Posts abroad. ICCR also provides support to Indian artists for displaying their works abroad on the invitation of prominent museums, art galleries, and organizations and in consultation with the concerned Indian Mission/Post abroad. ICCR also collaborates with institutions, organizations, and individual curators and artists for sourcing the exhibitions for displaying abroad.
ICCR provides its Art Gallery on a gratis basis to Indian artists for displaying their works.
ICCR also hosts art exhibitions of foreign artists for display in various cities of India.
