Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, Dhaka, Bangladesh

ICCR has been operating in Bangladesh since 2010. The Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) HCI, Dhaka was inaugurated by Dr. S. Jaishankar, the Hon’ble External Affairs Minister of India, on March 4, 2021. This Centre serves as a hub for fostering deeper cultural ties and exchanges between India and Bangladesh. The inauguration was an important milestone, symbolizing the strengthening of cultural diplomacy between the two countries.

Previously, the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) operated from Dhanmondi, Dhaka, promoting cultural exchanges between India and Bangladesh through various classes and programs in Yoga, Hindi, Indian Classical Music, and Dance.

Since September 2024, all operations have been shifted to the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) on Gulshan Avenue, Dhaka. The Centre continues to offer classes and workshops in Yoga, Indian classical music, and Kathak dance, as part of the efforts to engage local communities and promote mutual understanding between the people of India and Bangladesh. Additionally, the Centre also engages professionals from Bangladesh who had their training from Indian Gurus or in Indian Universities.

The ICC aims to enhance bilateral relations through various cultural initiatives, including art exhibitions, music and dance performances, film screenings, and educational programs that showcase India's rich cultural heritage.
