Lavani Dance is amost popular folk dance form of Maharashtra. Infact it is an identity of Marathi folk. Lavani dance is often being performed in Dholki Fadacha Tamasha and Sangeet Baricha Tamasha. There are two schools as far as original Lavani is concerned. Our school believes that origin of the Lavani can be traced in later Peshwa period and have tremendous influence of Muslim Mujara culture. Lavani is malgamation of Dance, enanctment and singing.
Poonam Kudalkar hails from traditional lavani dancers community. Poonam and her fellow artist performed lavani which have traditional and even contemporary flavor
