Universalization of Traditional Indian Knowledge System (UTIKS)

India’s rich tradition of intellectual inquiry and textual heritage dates back several hundred years. Indian advanced knowledge traditions and practices during the ancient and medieval times have somehow not found traction due to a lack of proper promotion. The intellectual achievements of Indian thought can be seen in ancient Indian texts ranging from the Vedas and the Upanishads to a wide range of spiritual, philosophical, scientific, technical, and artistic sources.

Under the mandate of ICCR, ICCR has launched an online platform for short but specialized courses on Traditional Indian Knowledge as a single-window source of introductory knowledge of various aspects of subjects under Traditional Indian Knowledge Systems (TIKS).

This platform serves as a source to provide authentic single-window information to the world on Traditional Indian Knowledge Systems and helps disseminate knowledge about Indian culture to the uninitiated. It also introduces Indian culture in a nuanced manner to those who already have a basic understanding but are looking for a deeper appreciation of diverse Indian traditions. Users may register on the website to view the detailed modules under all categories.
