Powada by Shahir Raju Raut on Saturday 12th February 2022 at 8.00 p.m.

Powada is a folk narrative form of Maharashtra quite famous from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj period.  The Powada tradition inherited from KalgiTura tradition. There were ballad singers like Agindas and Tulsidas in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj period. There is remarkable contribution of ballad singers during independence movement.  Shahir Raju Raut is a traditional ballad singer from Kolhapur.He presented Powada in the Maharashtra festival at Mauritius. He is a recipient of D Littdegree from D.Y.Patil University.

Yellamma by Kambli Brothers on Sunday 13th February 2022 at 8.00 p.m.

Yellamma Songs are very popular in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Telangana. Yellamma songs are mainly ritualistic songs of goddess Renuka popularly known as Yellamma. Chaundake, a popular folk instrument is being played in Yellamma songs by Jogati and jogatin who give up themselves for goddess Yellamma. Kamble group from Kolhapur performs Yellamma songs.
