The Regional Office of ICCR at Patna was inaugurated on 21 July 2012 by Dr. Karan Singh, Chairman of ICCR and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), along with Shri Nitish Kumar, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Bihar. The office represents ICCR across Bihar and Jharkhand, promoting India's cultural diplomacy and international engagement.

Since its inauguration in 2012, the Regional Office has represented ICCR at the local level, strengthening cultural and educational cooperation throughout Bihar and Jharkhand.

Student Welfare

The office supports international students studying under ICCR scholarship programmes and coordinates initiatives that enhance their academic and cultural experience.

Cultural Exchange

Working closely with the Government of Bihar, universities, and cultural organizations, the Regional Office coordinates foreign cultural delegations, outgoing Indian cultural groups, exhibitions, seminars, and distinguished visitors.
