Indian Council For Cultural Relations Hyderabad is presenting an evening of Kathak performance, Rasa-Bodhi by an ICCR empanelled artist Ms.Sangita Chatterjee followed by a live interaction on Saturday 16th January 2021 from 6.30 pm onwards. Invitation of the event is enclosed. All are cordially invited to see the online event. 2. "Rasa" is an integral aspect of Indian Art & Aesthetics.It delves into the intangible yet palpable state of human psyche.Abhinaya or emotive art which is so seminal to Indian Classical Dance takes the center to disseminate Rasa and thus finally "aanandam" or bliss is achieved. 3. Rasa - Bodhi is an evening of Kathak performance and a panel discussion which tries to focus more on attaining this blissful state in dance ,specifically in Kathak. 4. How does shastra codifies the dissemination of Rasa? Does it equally implies both to Natya(dramaturgy) and Nritya ( emotive art) ?How does the prayog or practice of Kathak views this aspect ?What are the elements which makes a performance stand out ? All these questions will be discussed and active participation from the audience is expected.
