Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Kabul, Afghanistan

The Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Kabul is a Cultural Centre of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) of India. It was inaugurated in September 2007 by the Afghan Minister of Culture and Information, Mr. Abdul Karim Khurram and, Mr. Sayed Shahid, then Vice-President of ICCR. The Centre is located in the Embassy premises.

The Centre promotes bilateral cultural linkages between India and Bangladesh by organizing cultural programmes, cultural seminars, workshops and trainings engaging India based Gurus professionals and trainers for Yoga, Indian Classical Music.

SVCC, Kabul in 2017-18 arranged two concerts for celebration of 70th Anniversary of India’s Independence by inviting four member vocal music group led by Dr. Kumud Diwan at Radio Television Afghanistan & ANIM, Kabul.

SVCC also looks after the Special Scholarship Scheme for Afghan Nationals.
