A Senior Fellow will be paid a lump sum stipend of Rs. 1,50,000/- per month for the duration of the Fellowship towards living expenses, accommodation, medical facilities, local transport, travel within India, etc. The Council will not be liable for any expenditure incurred by the Fellow over and above this monthly stipend.

In the case of a Junior Fellow, the lump sum stipend will be Rs. 50,000/- per month. The Council will not be liable for any expenditure incurred by the Fellow over and above this monthly stipend.

One economy class excursion return airfare will be provided by the Council to the Fellow.

The tenure of the Fellowship will be for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months, starting from the day the Fellow joins the institution to which they have been affiliated.

A maximum of 5 days will be prefixed and 5 days suffixed to the Fellow's tenure in India to cover travel and preparation time. Pro-rata payment of stipend will be made for these 10 days.

For any Fellowship exceeding three months, the Fellow has the option to spread the approved duration of the Fellowship over two years with the following provisions:

1. The total stay of the Fellow in India under this scheme should not exceed the approved duration of the Fellowship.
2. The minimum stay at any given time should be three months.
3. Travel and preparation time will be allowed only once during the Fellowship.
4. Only one economy class excursion return airfare will be provided by the Council during the entire Fellowship period.
5. The final schedule for implementing the Fellowship should be intimated to ICCR, in consultation with the affiliated institution, within 60 days of the Fellow's first arrival in India.

The stipend for the first month will be advanced to the Fellow immediately upon arrival in India. In subsequent months, the amount will be credited by the 7th day of every month into the Fellow's local bank account. The Fellow must open a local bank account at the earliest opportunity and intimate the account details to the Council.

A report containing feedback and an assessment of the experiences as an ICCR Fellow should be submitted to the Council at the end of the Fellowship tenure.

Any output based on the work carried out during the Fellowship may be used in the public domain after giving due credit and acknowledgment to the Council where relevant. The Council shall also be entitled to use the relevant output in its own publications or activities after giving due credit and acknowledgment to the Fellow.

Since the Fellows will be associated with an institution, they will be expected to interact extensively with the faculty, staff, and colleagues. Subject to mutual agreement, this may include delivering lectures, participating in panel discussions, conducting workshops, etc.

The Council will arrange a gratis visa for the Fellow through the concerned Indian Mission/Post.

The dates of arrival and departure should be communicated at least two months in advance to the concerned Indian Mission in the respective country to facilitate travel arrangements. If the final departure date from India cannot be confirmed before arrival, it should be finalized and communicated to the Council within 60 days of the Fellow's arrival.

Interested scholars may apply for the ICCR Fellowship by filling out the Application Form and submitting it to the Indian Embassy, High Commission, or Consulate in their respective country.
